Bachelor of Health Science
Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy)

Osteopathy embodies a holistic approach and respects that everything works in unity. By addressing limiting factors, osteopathy can help to assist the body’s own ability to heal itself.

Larson generally adopts a structural approach, using a high-velocity low-amplitude (HVLA) technique, mobilisation, soft tissue, and myofascial release (MFR).  These techniques will vary on the patient and how they respond to treatment.

Having experienced many injuries through gymnastics himself over the years, Larson has an understanding of how injuries affect you both physically and psychologically.

Larson believes it’s important to educate patients about their body to give them the tools to make positive informed changes to improve their health and well-being.  Manual therapy may promote changes and help to reduce pain and improve function, but this is only one part of his management. Therefore, he has a emphasis on prescribing exercises, ergonomic education, and general lifestyle advice that will help promote long term change.

"I want to understand your ultimate goals so that we can develop a management plan that will best suit your needs."
